Blood is collected in the heart coming from the whole body in veins. Similarly, it is distributed in the whole body through arteries. Arteries and veins are called blood vessels.
When heart squeezes and pumps out blood in the blood vessels, its pressure in the vessels correspondingly increases. When heart restores to its normal shape, blood from the vessels go to the heart. Here, the heart pumps it again in the blood vessels. Thus the pressure of blood increases or decreases with the pumping process of the heart. Therefore, pulsation in the pulse shows the heart beat.
